World Partners Hit Kingsfield
On Monday 18th May a twenty strong group of spouses of the World Wide Marketing Partners Group , who are meeting at the George Hotel in Edinburgh for a 5 day Conference, arrived at Kingsfield to enjoy an Activity and Historic Tour to the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow.
The Rain was on and off all morning , as were the provided Kingsfield Ponchos, but no amount of rain and drizzle was going to stop these lovely visitors to our country from enjoying their day out.
Great fun and laughter was heard very early on at the Kingsfield Clays and Kingsfield Archery Experience Stance and this continued through out the day.
After Morning refreshments the group embarked on the St.Magdalene MV at Park Bistro Pontoon for a gentle cruise along the Union Canal to the Manse Road Basin ably assisted by some well known Scottish refreshments! hic!
'Cockelroi' provided a selection of world wide favourite tunes and the passengers were soon singing along to the music provided by Bob and Neil. Captain John Aitken piloted the 'cruise liner' into dock at the LUCS Museum area and the group gave him and the musicians a fantastic round of applause for their entertainment.
Next Stop was Lunch at Glenavon House , home of host Sue Lindsay, who provided the most splendid 4 course lunch with excellent refreshments and sang beautifully for your dinner guests.( Thanks Sue).
The afternoon consisted of a tour of St.Michaels Church and Linlithgow Palace whilst others checked out the History Of Linlithgow at Annet House.
After a rendition of that auld Scottish Favourite ' Ye canna shove yur granny of the bus' the group headed back to Edinburgh to prepare for an evening reception.
