First International Golf Match at Kingsfield Golf Course
Just 10 days after opening to Founder Members and before the course was open to Pay as You Play golfers , our USGA Specification Kingsfield Golf Course was played by two police teams in there 31st Annual Golf Competition.
The local organiser of the long association between West Lothian Police and North Wales Police decided way back in January to play part of this years bi-annual Golf Competition at Kingsfield Golf Course. With the delay in opening the 9 Hole course due to the lack of rain and subsequent growth of the grass, this meant that the match was in some doubt. However Kingsfield's green keepers Lee and Barrie were keen to have the course looking well for this match and gave the green light to this International Competition!
Thanks go to Alan Scott for arranging the First International Golf match at the brand new USGA Specification Kingsfield Golf Course on Tuesday. It was really a great day for Kingsfield and from the feedback from all the Golfers, they really enjoyed playing the course.
The guys went on to enjoy a competitive, but friendly game on the Ochils Family Putting Green . Thanks guys for utilising our new golfing facilities and for all your warm and generous comments about the state of the new course, of the Ochils and in general about all the facilities at our 4 Star Visit Scotland Golf Centre . We look forward to entertaining you again in 2011. Haste Ye Back!
